The exciting atmosphere of El Clasico doesn’t need to be tarnished by violence from any of the two sides involved. Earlier on Sunday, Real Madrid’s team bus got attacked by a group of angry Blaugrana fans identified as members of the Boixos Nois.
But ahead of tonight’s Barcelona vs Real Madrid match, the home side’s club president – Sandro Rosell – has asked fans to be enthusiastic and free from any negative attitude.
“I wish El Clasico will be an interesting spectacle. I wish there’ll be fair play, and I wish we’ll get a good result too,” Rosell declared during a press conference on Monday.
“Also, I want to thank Florentino [Perez] for being here,” Rosell added as the interview took place alongside Real Madrid’s club president.
“Hopefully, our fans will be devoted in order to encourage the team.”
Visitors Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo are the two men that are expected to be targeted by Barcelona’s home crowd. True football fans will hope that the rivalry between the Blaugrana and Los Blancos produce nothing more than pure drama and entertainment instead of ugly scenes that would stain this long-awaited Clasico battle.
