The Spanish striker was dropped from the squad facing Leicester City on Saturday, following a bust up with coach Antonio Conte.

Despite Antonio Conte's attempts to play down Diego Costa's absence last Saturday, the striker's lonely presence at Chelsea's Cobham training facility ignited more rumors regarding his future.

Costa and Conte reportedly got into a war of words due to the player's inability to recover from a lower back injury. Costa blamed the team's fitness staff, which caused Conte to step up and defend them. The row ended with Conte allegedly telling Costa to "go to China".

The Spanish ace, who is currently tied as the EPL's top scorer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexis Sánchez, was photographed earlier today with only one of the team's fitness coaches. The player even collected his own balls and moved all the training apparatus he needed by himself.

It is yet to be seen if Costa will leave the club after the highly publicized row against Conte last week. The Blues' next game will take place on Sunday, and Costa's absence (or presence) could be a sign of things to come.
