On January 30, 2015, braces from Bas Dost (pictured below) and Kevin De Bruyne gave Wolfsburg a 4-1 victory over the Bavarians with Pep as the head coach of the losing side. The Bundesliga giants had just returned from the winter break and despite the defeat, they still went all the way to win the league title.

In Europe, the Spaniard has also suffered embarrasing defeats. He lost 4-0 to rivals Real Madrid as manager of Bayern on April 29, 2014 in their Champions League semifinal second-leg tie.
