Time to travel down the memory lane, counting the few moments when Pep was humiliated by his opponents in La Liga, Bundesliga, and lately, the Premier League.

Manchester City suffered a shock 4-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, a result that is now considered as the worst defeat for Pep Guardiola at the league level in his coaching career. But what are the other heavy defeats the former Bayern Munich manager had faced prior to Saturday's tie? Here's a quick preview:

League defeats

Wolsfburg 4 - 1 Bayern Munich [Bundesliga]

On January 30, 2015, braces from Bas Dost (pictured below) and Kevin De Bruyne gave Wolfsburg a 4-1 victory over the Bavarians with Pep as the head coach of the losing side. The Bundesliga giants had just returned from the winter break and despite the defeat, they still went all the way to win the league title.

Bayern Munich 0 - 3 Borussia Dortmund [Bundesliga]

Pep was also humiliated by Bayern's bitter rivals BVB on April 12, 2014. The goals were scored by Henrikh Mkhitaryan (below, in yellow), Marco Reus and Jonas Hofmann. However, there was little impact as the German giants had already been crowned domestic champions - this explains their complacency in that particular match.

Bonus: Worst defeats in Europe

In Europe, the Spaniard has also suffered embarrasing defeats. He lost 4-0 to rivals Real Madrid as manager of Bayern on April 29, 2014 in their Champions League semifinal second-leg tie. He was then humiliated 4-0 by his former side Barcleona at Nou Camp in the same competition, as the manager of Man City. Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick and Neymar scored the fourth in a thrilling tie in Catalonia. Sunday's 4-0 defeat was Pep's heaviest at the domestic level. But there is one more thing to worry about - the Citizens welcome high-flying Spurs at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday for a league tie that could yield a high number of goals past Claudio Bravo. Or maybe, by then, the Sky Blues might have learned their lesson.
