Neymar is the unsung hero in the last Clasico of 2016.

Barcelona forward Neymar has been blowing hot and cold this season as far as the hunt for goals is concerned. The Brazilian has been quite blunt in front of goal in 2016/17 (4 goals in 12 apps) compared to last season, but he also seems to have found a new hobby in the game.

The former Santos man is now transforming himself into an assist specialist, most recently against Real Madrid in El Clasico at the Nou Camp. The Catalan giants opened the scoring in the second half thanks to Neymar’s assist to Suarez after a goalless first half. And now, the 24-year-old star has 13 assists in 17 games this season, the most by any player in Europe’s top five league.

The Olympic Gold medal winner was wasteful in front of goal as his side threw away their slim lead when Sergio Ramos scored late into the dying minutes of the game. Barcelona are still second on the league table with 28 points, six behind league leaders Real Madrid.

But there is some bad news for Neymar's fans following the impressive performance vs Los Blancos. He has been suspended for the next match after picking up his fifth yellow card.
