Chelsea made the trip to Manchester City on Saturday for the weekend’s early kick-off. The away side were favorites and leaders, and were confident of coming away without a defeat at the very least.
The Blues took the field, and despite a number of dubious refereeing in their favor, they were holding their own and were even in danger of taking the lead. That was until the 45th minute when a huge Gary Cahill blunder hurt the away side.
The Englishman was scored a spectacular goal; unfortunately, though, it was against his own team. The center-back scored an own goal on the stroke of half time to send Antonio Conte’s boys into the break trailing.
