After the final whistle was blown, the Spanish players did one of football’s biggest craze at the moment: the Mannequin Challenge. Yes, Julen Lopetegui’s boys held a statuesque pose for one minute as they were filmed in the dressing room.
Lucas Vazquez shared the video of their rendition on Instagram. Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo saw the post and gave his thoughts. He commented: “Good copy, eh?”
The three-time Ballon d’Or winner was, of course, hinting that Spain merely copied Portugal, as the European Championship winners’ Mannequin Challenge attempt grabbed a lot of attention.
Cristiano and Co. did theirs prior to their clash with Latvia, with the Blancos ace featuring dead-center in nothing but his underwear, doing his iconic goal celebration.
