The war of words has begun ahead of El Clasico. Barcelona’s assistant coach, Tito Vilanova, has come out to criticize Real Madrid’s outspoken Jose Mourinho.
So far, there hasn’t been any hot battle between Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola. Even last season’s Champions League clashes between Mou’s former team Inter Milan and Barcelona didn’t see the “Special One” and Pep confronting each other.

Jose Mourinho is believed to provoke his opposite numbers and Sporting Gijon’s Preciado might be the best person to explain how much the ex-Chelsea boss can get on one’s nerves. Last week, Mou was accused of being a villain by Gijon’s coach following his disrespectful comments.

Today, Tito Vilanova has slammed the Portuguese manager as well as undervalued Real Madrid’s charm. La Vanguardia quoted the Barca assistant coach as saying:

“Mourinho is a football coach who never talks of football. That’s something we don’t like because stress isn’t good for anyone.

“However, it’s true that Madrid are pushing harder this year. Their team may not be aesthetically beautiful, maybe they don’t play very well, but they are still dangerous rivals.

“But let me recall that they’ve spent nearly twice as much as we did. They’ve signed every player they wanted, even more than that. Still, there’s nothing about their game that captivates my attention.”

Barcelona’s recent head-to-head history in El Clasico is unbelievable. The Catalans seem invincible against Real Madrid. But can Los Blancos make fun of Vilanova’s comments come November 29?
