Following the 2-2 draw between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League group F stage fixture on Tuesday, a section of the home fans were left fuming at Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugal captain was captured on camera kicking Dortmund left-back Marcel Schmelzer.
But it is quite shocking that experienced center referee Mark Clattenburg did not notice the incident, despite dishing out five yellow cards to five different players throughout the match. The mischievous tackle could attract the attention of UEFA’s disciplinary committee and if found guilty, the 31-year-old star forward could face a three-match ban.
