Team News

Watford

Former Napoli and Inter boss Mazzarri's Premier League bow was a relatively decent one as Watford hung on for a 1-1 draw against Southampton despite having a man down. The Hornets have been relatively active during this summer's shopping period, with Christian Kabasele, Brice Dja Djedje, Jerome Sinclair, and Isaac Success all arriving, and Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra may become their newest addition soon. Meanwhile, given their utmost significance to the team's cause, Watford fans will be relieved that the club were able to keep both Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo at Vicarage Road for the upcoming season.

In terms of personnel, Mazzarri will be missing Ben Watson following his red card against Southampton, whilst new signings Success and Dja Djedje are still recovering from injuries and will have to pass a late fitness test.

Chelesa

As for Conte, anyone who watched Chelsea's tie with West Ham will know how the Italian tactician is feeling. Goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa - two players who were not at their best last season - were enough to give the former Juventus boss his first ever Premier League victory. Yet, despite the confidence-boosting win, many fans' eyes were on a player who didn't even make the bench: Cesc Fabregas.

The Spanish star's omission was noteworthy, especially as the rumors continue to swirl that the ex-Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder could be on his way out before the transfer window closes. In any case, supporters got to see one new signing, Michy Batshuayi, in action, and the promising striker made an impact as he was directly involved in Diego Costa's goal. However, they surely will be looking forward to observing N'Golo Kante in action as Chelsea aim to pick up another three points this weekend.
