This will be the Serie A giants third and last International Champions Cup tie before the Italian top-flight kicks-off. Overturning a recent run of poor results will be De Boer first task as Inter Milan manager.
The Italian giants are currently on a three-game losing streak, with their last win coming in a friendly vs. Real Salt Lake City. Since then, Inter have suffered heavy defeats to Bayern Munich (4-1) and Spurs (6-1), with the latter result believed to be the decisive blow to Mancini’s reign.
De Boer has club captain and star striker Mauro Icardi on his side, with Ever Banega joining from Sevilla. The 46-year-old is eager to return Inter to the top of European football, saying (as per UEFA.com): “I'm sure I can have success with my style and philosophy if the players will follow me."
Brendan Rodgers making “progress” with Celtic
Celtic appointed the former Liverpool boss as manager in May, but he endured a rough start with some embarrassing defeats, including a 1-0 loss to Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps in his first game and a 3-1 defeat to Barca.
However, Rodgers has been racking in the results as of late, something summed up by their recent 5-0 win over Motherwell in the Betfred League Cup.

The manager later admitted to Celtic’s official website that they have come a long way, but there’s room for improvement. He said: We still have a way to go. We can still be better at times and I said that to the players afterwards.”
