Broadcast info

Who's playing: This will be the first game for Antonio Conte as Chelsea's new manager. The Italian tactician didn't get much of a holiday after guiding Italy to the quarter-finals at Euro 2016.  Conte, who won three Scudetti with Juventus, will turn his attention to club duties as he hopes to revive the Blues after their disappointing 2015/2016 campaign that saw them miss out on European football entirely.

As for Rapid Wien, they are also under the tutelage of a new manager. Mike Büskens took over in June 10th for the departing Croatian Zoran Barisic, and the team - who finished second in the Austrian Bundeliga - have fared well so far this summer. In fact, they will be coming into this game having won their past two pre-season games, including a recently 3-1 result over Azerbaijan outfit Qarabağ.

When: Saturday, July 16th at 9.00 PST/12.00 EST/16.00 UTC/17.00 BST/18.00 CET

What stadium: The newly created Allianz Stadion will be hosting this sold-out clash between Rapid Wien and Chelsea, and the venue has a maximum capacity of about 28,000.

Team news

Chelsea

It's going to be a time of change with Antonio Conte on the bench, and the ex-Juventus boss outlined some of his objectives - including whether he will stick with his famed three-man formation or switch things up to have four at the back:

So far, the team have signed Belgium's Michy Batshuayi, and France star N'Golo Kante is reported to have also agreed to make the switch from Leicester City to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are definitely not done splashing the cash, however, and have been linked to a slew of other players, including Leonardo Bonucci, Alvaro Morata, Radja Nainggolan, and more since the end of last season.

Due to the international tournaments, there will be a bunch of players who will not be featuring, but there will still be some familiar faces in Conte's starting XI. John Terry, Diego Costa, Willian, Nemanja Matic, and Oscar have all been taking part in pre-season training under Conte and expect some - or potentially all - of these players to feature in Saturday's match.

Rapid Wien

Meanwhile, Rapid Wien will be marking the opening of their new stadium by welcoming the London powerhouse this Saturday. Unlike their opponents, the Austrian side are well into their pre-season and will be hoping to spring what will be an impressive upset against Conte's men.

So far, they've won all of their past friendly matches, but Chelsea naturally will represent a much tougher foe than the likes of Russian outfit Rubin Kazan or their past opponent - Azerbaijan side Qarabağ.

Rapid Wien supporters could also get to see new signings Joelinton and Maximilian Entrup in action for the first time.
