The Bulgarian striker-turned-pundit doesn't feel the Portuguese ace will win the trophy for his accomplishments on the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo may be considered once again as one of the top contenders to win the 2015-2016 Ballon D'Or, but according to former Barcelona striker Hristo Stoichkov, the Portuguese will only win it for an off-the-pitch issue.

Speaking to Spanish broadcaster Cadena Cope, the Bulgarian legend revealed the reason why CR7 will win a fourth Ballon D'Or next year, while FIFA overlooks other suitable candidates such as the French rising star Antoine Griezmann or Gareth Bale

"Griezmann is always at the top of his game, he's blowing everyone's mind away with his skills, and he would make a suitable Ballon D'Or winner, but they will give it to Ronaldo just because he is handsome," Stoichkov stated.

Ronaldo and Griezmann are two of the UEFA Euro 2016 top scorers, with the French ace topping the charts with four goals so far.

The striker-turned-pundit, currently working in the United States for Univisión, revealed that Bale's chances of winning the award are slim, even if he's Ronaldo's team-mate at Real Madrid.

"Bale's only chance of winning the trophy would come if Wales wins the UEFA Euro 2016," the former player added.

The 1990 Golden Boot winner and 1994 Ballon D'Or winner has always pledged his loyalty to Barcelona's colours. He helped Los Culés win the 1992 UEFA Champions League trophy, and has been a harsh critic of Real Madrid's policies over the years.
