Former Barcelona striker Pedro Rodriguez admits he had a difficult season with English side Chelsea.

The Blues forward confessed about his time with Chelsea and the hard adjustments he had to make when leaving Camp Nou in 2015.

The 28-year old from the Canary Islands never imagined such a campaign with the London club after ditching the Barca shirt. Nonetheless, Pedro has managed to net eight goals in his 30 appearances in all competitions with the Blue Lions.

In a recent interview with radio station Onda Cero, the ex-Blaugrana revealed his feelings on joining Chelsea after enduring a complicated first season in the English Premier League.

"The truth is that it has been very hard, it is always tough to leave a club like Barça. It has been a strange season, I have never experienced a situation like this in such a big club as Chelsea. At Christmas, we were just a point above the relegation zone, and a big club like Chelsea can not afford this type of thing."

Pedro-Rodriguez

Pedro believes the sacking of Jose Mourinho was harsh, but it only made him stronger, stating:

"The change of manager was very hard, but it will teach me to be stronger because going through such a situation forces you to have a different mentality."

Despite the Spanish footballer's incredible time with the Catalan giants, Pedro does not regret his decision in moving to England.

"My situation was very clear, saying goodbye was difficult because I had been there many years, I felt valued and loved, but my chances of playing were being reduced, and I could see my time was nearing an end."

Euro 2016 is right around the corner, and Pedro has confidence his team can bring home the glory.

"We are going to go there with the mindset to win the tournament; it will be tough but let's see if we can get the trophy."
