This weekend will feature a slew of mouthwatering ties for football fans: the FA Cup, Coppa Italia, DFB-Pokal, Copa del Rey, and Coupe de France are sure to keep viewers occupied on Saturday and Sunda.
Meanwhile, for those who prefer the Primeira Liga over the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, or Ligue 1, there's also the Taça de Portugal. And this is where Porto will have their chance to get their hands on a major trophy to wrap up the 2015/2016 season. The Dragons were left in the dust as Benfica and Sporting CP battled it out until the final matchday for the league title and ended up finishing in third spot, 13 points behind Sporting CP and 15 behind Benfica.
Disappointment in the Champions League was followed up by more heartbreak in the Europa League, but Porto are just 90 minutes away from winning their first Taça de Portugal title since the 2010/2011 season. Should they manage to defeat Sporting Braga, the Dragons will also make it their 17th title, which puts them second behind Benfica's 25 and one ahead of Sporting CP's 16.
Well, Sporting Braga, who finished the regular season in fourth place, will naturally want to make sure that does not happen on Sunday. The Archbishops have been in this exact same position before, and were painfully close to winning their first Taça de Portugal title since 1966 in last season's edition. However, they were unable to make it past Sporting CP who went on to win 3-1 on penalties.
