Manchester City will travel to the Santiago Bernabeu for their face-off against Ronaldo and Co. after losing to Southampton last Sunday.

After fourth-place contenders, Manchester City, lost to Southampton 4-2, Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has admitted that his team's confidence has taken a hit before their crucial match against Real Madrid.

Iheanacho scored a brace at the St Mary's Stadium but that clearly was not enough to take home the three points, as Pellegrini's men took a beating against seventh-place Premier League holders Southampton.

Nonetheless, the 19-year-old is hoping his performance will prompt the Manchester City boss to start the striker against Los Blancos this Wednesday. However, during the post-match conference, Iheanacho confessed their Premier League loss has given the Citizens a major confidence blow heading into the second leg of Champions League semi-final.

"This was not good preparation, this game didn't give us enough confidence but we'll put it behind us as soon as we leave here and focus on the game on Wednesday," said Iheanacho.

"We need to put it behind us, it's gone, it's not going to come back. So many things went wrong in the game, we lost so many balls and we didn't defend well. We lost so we're not happy, but we'll put it behind us and come back stronger."

Can the Sky Blues brush off their loss and beat Spanish giants Real Madrid to clinch a ticket to the final of the Champions League?
