The German bigwigs opened the scoring as early as the 9th minute through Thiago Alcantara. Thomas Mueller then added the second in the 31st minute to ensure the Bavarians went to the break leading by two goals. Twenty minutes into the second-half, the German then netted the second for Pep Guardiola’s side to ensure three maximum points.
Four minutes to full-time, the lethal Robert Lewandowski got himself on the scoresheet by scoring the fourth goal of the night. But the game was not yet over, Thiago Alcantara, who had opened the score sheet for the hosts, found the back of the net once again in the 90th minute.
The German giants are now eight points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who have 58 points with a game in hand.
