Real Madrid have once again failed to keep up with the race for the La Liga title this season after registering a disappointing one-all draw with Malaga.
The draw now puts Zinedine Zidane’s men nine points behind league leaders FC Barcelona, who happen to be their bitter rivals. Los Blancos are now hoping that the Blaugrana will lose points in their upcoming fixtures but Luis Enrique’s men look quite unstoppable in their quest to defend the domestic title.
WATCH: Zidane talks about Real Madrid's title chance after the 1-1 draw with The Anchovies:
Following the disappointing loss, football fans took to Twitter to mock the Spanish giants, who had started showing positive signs of improvement under their new manager. Although Los Merengues have not lost a single match under the former footballer-cum-manager, they have registered two costly draws that have dented their chances of clinching the coveted title.
Ironically, based on recent statistics, it appears that Zizou could a replica of Rafael Benitez, who was fired following a string of disappointing results with the Santiago Bernabeu side.
Here is a quick comparison of the performance of the two managers in their first eight games with the Spanish giants:

I absolutely love Zidane and I'll always support him, but I'd do absolutely anything to have Carlo Ancelotti back at Real Madrid.
