The Chilean midfielder is trying to defend himself from reports about how he showed up to Bayern's training sessions in the recent past.

South American midfielder Arturo Vidal has found himself involved in a number of controversies throughout his career, but this time, he will try to clean his name.

German tabloid SportBild suggested on Tuesday the player "inspired" Pep Guardiola to send that "explosive" email about how all the members of the team should have behaved while on holidays, after the Chilea returned with a few more pounds. Furthermore, the tabloid hinted the player had left the team's hotel several times to spend the night out drinking, which would have an immediate impact on his performance on the pitch.

Earlier today, Vidal took his anger to Twitter, revealing he will take action to clear his name.

After revealing he will take legal action against the publication, Bayern's Sports Director Matthias Sammer stepped up and denied such claims in a press conference.

"I was shocked after reading this, it's obviously not true. We have a great relationship with Arturo and his agent, and we will be backing them up anyway they need it, even legally," Sammer stated.

Vidal has played 19 games for Bayern Munich in the 2015-16 Bundesliga season, added to 5 Champions League matches with Die Roten. The 2015 Copa América champion signed a contract with the current German Champions last summer, weeks after crashing his Ferrari following a night out during the Copa América tournament.
