The draw will consist of two pots; one made up of group winners and the other of runners-up. During the draw, no club will face a club from their group or football association. Additionally, as a result of a decision made by the UEFA Executive Committee, Russian and Ukrainian teams will not face each other, due to political tension between the two countries.

The group winners will play away in the first leg of the fixtures between 16th and 17th, and 23 and 24th February 2016. The return fixture will be played two weeks later between 8th and 9th and 15th, and 16th March 2016.
Thereafter, the quarter finals draw will be conducted on March 18, 2016 and the semi finals on 15th April.

UEFA Europa League last 32 draw
Thereafter, the Europa League last 32 draw will also be conducted. English sides Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United will know their Europa League opponents during that period. Just like the Champions League, the Europa League last 32 draw consists of two pots.
Pot one contains 16 seeded teams, while pot two contains 16 unseeded teams. No team will face a club from their Europa League group or from the same association. That means that both Spurs, Man United and Liverpool cannot face each other at this stage of the tournament.
