Luis Suarez opened the scoresheet for FC Barcelona against their hosts Valencia in a closely-contested La Liga match on Saturday.

The former Liverpool man powered home a terrific shot against their hosts in the 59th minute of the game after receiving a through ball from midfield. The goal was his 13th of the season for the Catalans in 13 appearances in La Liga. 

However, there was a little bit of controversy surrounding the well-taken goal, as some fans on social media believed that the Uruguayan was offside.
