The Portuguese star had arrived at the Ipurua for Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Eibar when the home fans started chanting Messi’s name.

A footage released by Spanish TV network Canal+ shows a visibly angry Ronaldo lamenting to an assistant of Rafa Benitez after a section of fans were heard chanting ‘’Messi! Messi! Messi!’’ when the Portugal international arrived in Eibar. This was probably to undermine and intimidate him ahead of the crucial fixture away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Somehow, the tactic worked on match day as Ronaldo went to the ground quite easily and kept appealing for a penalty but the tough-faced referee could hear none of it, consequently leading to visible frustrations. It was until the 81st minute when the Portugal international was finally awarded a penalty. The well-converted spot kick put the visitors two goals up.

The video entitled El Enfado de Cristiano, which translates to ‘’The Anger of Cristiano’’ shows the former Manchester United man entering into Madrid’s team bus and speaking angrily with one of Rafa Benitez’s aides. The Spanish giants won the match 0-2 courtesy of goals from Gareth Bale and Ronaldo.
