Neymar could be paid €15 million net for each season played. Neymar's current contract expires in 2018.

With Neymar Jr. on a roll with Barcelona FC, the Spanish team wants to make sure that no one steals the Brazilian from them. As many have predicted, Neymar could soon be on his way to become the best player in the world once the Ronaldo vs Messi battle is over.

Officials at Barcelona FC believe that it could be true and they want to make sure that his future is with none other but the current La Liga leaders and Champions League title winners. Therefore, setting up a new contract is in place for the striker is something that his club is looking into.

Neymar has been showing how much he is worth

The Brazilian astro has scored 12 goals in 11 games. He is the leader in that department in La Liga while he seems to be struggling a bit in the European competition. There, Neymar has only two goals under his belt, four behind Cristiano Ronaldo and three behind Luis Suarez. 

€15 million net for each season played is what Neymar Jr. could be receiving if the current numbers that are being worked on stand. That would make him the third-highest paid player in the league behind Messi and CR7. It would secure his feature with the Cules until 2021. 

Tax Problem, No Problem

Neymar and his dad have been battling a trial concerning the €10 million gave Ney's dad as a signing fee. Barcelona's #11 and his father spoke about the possibility to leave the club if needed. Now, with the pay raise, they might be willing to stay with the Catalan club for the long run. 

Nadine Goncalves, Neymar's mom is also facing a trial issue as she has denied the fact about keeping up to date with the negotiations between Neymar and the Spanish club. At the same time, judge José de la Mata is not buying her story claiming that she even received money during the negotiations.
