Chelsea will be in a buoyant mood following their 1-0 win over Norwich over the weekend and will be hoping to improve on the performance when they face Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
The win was only Chelsea's fourth in 13 league games they have played so far this season and captain John Terry is hopeful that the victory can help his side turn the season around.
"We're delighted to win," Terry said.
"Relieved as well. Picking up three points has been a really good feeling. Good performance to top it off as well.
"Hopefully we can put ourselves on a good run of games now and climb up this table. We can build on this now and hopefully get another win on Tuesday."
Even though they have not enjoyed much luck in domestic outings, Chelsea can seal qualification to the Round of 16 of the Champions League should they win their match on Tuesday and if Dynamo Kiev fail to defeat Porto.
"We have three points on the board now in the Premier League and switch focus to the Champions League again," Terry added. "With that in mind and the importance of qualifying it's all there for everyone to see and to go and do."
Chelsea however have fared poorly in Champions League away games in recent times and must ensure they do not get carried away. The Blues have managed victories in just two of their last 10 away Champions League matches, drawing five and losing three in the process.
Chelsea will be without goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who continues to nurse his knee injury whereas Radamel Falcao has also been ruled out with a muscle injury.
Their opponents on the other hand have been on an uninspiring run themselves having recorded a victory in just one of their last 10 Champions League matches. They managed to find the net in just one of these games.
Furthermore Slavisa Jokanovic's men have scored the joint fewest number of goals in the Champions League campaign this season (one), having conceded the most (11).
