These strikers could lead their respective teams to glory, but who will be more decisive against their most-hated opponent?

With Cristiano Ronaldo not currently at his best, and with Lionel Messi's participation still doubtful, this Saturday's Clásico could have an unexpected hero on both sides of the pitch. One of those players in charge of damaging Madrid's net will be Luis Suárez, while Karim Benzema will try to repeat last year's performance at home, when he scored the third and final goal for Los Blancos against Los Culés.

While the Uruguayan striker has been shining with Luis Enrique's team during the absence of Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema has been more focused on an off-the-pitch situation, but his team has confirmed he will play this Saturday's clash. Let's have a closer look at each player's performances this season.

Luis Suárez

When Suárez's stint with Barcelona started, most fans were displeased with his performances. A year after he made his debut against Los Blancos, things have changed for the former Liverpool striker. His contribution to the team's treble last season was praised by his coach and his team-mates, and his current form has kept Barcelona's chances alive this season, scoring a good amount of goals with Messi absent due to an injury. If "La Pulga" is not able to perform against Real Madrid, Luis Suárez will be one of the top threats for Los Blancos' defense. Suárez scored the game-winning goal for Barcelona during the last La Liga Clásico, sending the ball into Iker Casillas' net with a precise right-footed strike.

Real Madrid's defenders must be wary of what the South American striker can do on open-play situations.

Karim Benzema

One of the components of the "BBC Attack" will have a chance to redeem himself on the pitch. After a few complicated weeks for the Frenchman away from the pitch, given his involvement in an alleged blackmail attempt against French team-mate Mathieu Valbuena, the player will try to prove his worth for the Spanish capital giants. Benzema has struggled with a number of injuries as well, but he has managed to score seven goals in eight games for Benitez's crew.

Last year, Benzema was the driving force behind Los Blancos' win at Santiago Bernabeu, forcing a penalty kick and scoring the third and final goal.
