The French midfielder was supposed to have a pre-arrangement to join Los Blaugranas next year, but financial problems will not allow them to sign he 22-year old.

Paul Pogba's agent gave Manchester City and Chelsea a glimmer of hope, as he stated in an interview the French midfielder will not be joining Barcelona during the upcoming transfer window. Mino Raiola revealed today that, even though there were negotiations between his client and Los Blaugranas, there were some issues that made the deal flop.

"Being totally honest, no. We had already discussed the possibility of him joining Barcelona, but they couldn't afford to buy him off from Juventus. We haven't reached an agreement with any other team," Raiola stated.

Pogba's agent also claimed the player had a number of bids to sign him, although he did not revealed the teams interested. Raiola even added some teams were willing to break a record in order to pen a deal with his client.

"There were three big clubs interested in signing him, and all of them offered between 85 and 100 million euros to have him sign with them, but in the end, he decided to extend his contract with Juventus. He chose to extend his contract and we will honor that agreement until there's an offer that satisfies his needs and also Juventus'", Raiola added.

Pogba scored the first of Juventus' two goals against Torino this weekend, giving La Vecchia Signora the chance to climb up the charts in the Serie A after a slow start of the season.
