The Argentine, despite his bitter Santiago Bernabeu exit in 2014, admits he still holds fond memories of his time with Les Merengues.

Argentine superstar Angel Di Maria has vowed that he will not celebrate if he scores against former club Real Madrid when Paris Saint-Germain clash with the Liga BBVA giants in the Champions League.

The Ligue 1 leaders will welcome Los Blancos to Parc des Princes in Wednesday’s group A heavyweight clash, as both sides look to maintain their perfect start to their European campaign.

Di Maria, who left Manchester United for France over the summer after a hugely disappointing campaign in England, left Real Madrid in a bitter Santiago Bernabeu exit back in 2014, but insists his affection for the club remains strong after spending five successful seasons with Les Merengues.

"If ever I score a goal, I will not celebrate because deep in my heart I will never forget what I experienced at Real," said La Fideo.

The 27-year-old La Albiceleste international also believes that Laurent Blanc’s crew have what it is required to win the Champions League, whilst also hailing the level of quality players at PSG.

"We will fight together to win the Champions League," Di Maria said.

"Upon my arrival, I noticed the high quality of Parisian players. With the players we have, we can do it."
