Wednesday, October 70 just happens to be the birthday of Chelsea superstar Diego Costa. The Spanish forward, hated by many in the English Premier League (Gabriel Paulista tops that list), turns 27 today.
And if you are shocked to hear that the former Atletico Madrid ace is only 27, believe us, you are not alone. Many fans are still shocked by the fact that Costa was born in 1988, and not it the 60s.
Others, however, intentionally use the fact that the Spaniard looks a lot much older than he really is to troll the Liga BBVA and English Premier League winner, and this could not have been truer than on his 27th birthday.
The Blues, who have had to do without Costa’s services for their last three domestic games due to his ban, sent out a routine birthday shout out via Twitter early on Wednesday.

What followed on social media were several jokes, with the Chelsea ace’s age as the punch line. Check out some of the most hilarious tweets below.

Costa has not featured for the Blues since their 2-0 win over Arsenal, missing three domestic games, one of which ended in defeat for Jose Mourinho's crew, due to the ban slapped on him by the FA. However, he will return to the pitch when Aston Villa arrive at Stamford Bridge on October 17.
