No player had ever scored goals in all first seven matches of the German League season. Dortmund is now four points behind Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund did not win the game against Darmstadt 98, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has set his name in the record books of the Bundesliga. He is the first player to score in all the first seven games of a season.

The player from Gabon has scored nine goals in seven games. Only Robert Lewandowski is ahead of him with ten. The 26-year old player has had 27 shots on goal and only one assist.

This man is on fire

In the game at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund did not start all too well. It was Darmstadt 98, the team who grabbed the lead first in the 17th minute with a goal from Marcel Heller. The visiting side would then just try to keep danger away from their net.

It was not until the second half that the home side got things leveled. Aubameyang tied the game in the 63rd minute by finishing a cross by Matthias Ginter. Then, only Adnan Januzaj would deliver the assist to Aubameyang so he would score the goal that at the moment gave Dortmund a 2-1 lead.

It was an almost perfect night for Dortmund

It was Dortmund who tried going for the win. They only let the visiting side control the ball 30% of the game. Despite the fact that they possessed the ball for the most part, Darmstadt 98 did not quit fighting right until the very end. Aytac Sulu shut down the celebrations at Dortmund's home as he tied the game in the 90th minute.

Now, Dortmund is four points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga standings. The team managed by was not happy with leaving the field with only one point, but at least Aubameyang gave his fans a reason to cheer for at the end of the day.

Will Aubameyang extend his record next week?
