Regardless of how his team gets to this game, the former Deportivo striker wants the team’s fans to pack Azteca Stadium in order to shock their hosts on Saturday.

Mexican striker Omar Bravo is a man who doesn’t get scared for playing at Azteca Stadium. As experience has shown before, it doesn’t take a great streak to defeat their hated opponent, it just takes a little bit of luck and maybe some guts to take all the points home.

“We know that fans expect us to win, and we will try to make that happen. I ask them to believe in our skills, I know that they get better to this game, but stats don’t play these games. It’s just a matter of strategy, and we have a good one to try and defeat them. They can go on and on about how they think they are the favorite team to win, but you can’t feel you’ve won just because you said so, you have to prove it on the pitch, and we will try to do that tomorrow,” Bravo stated.

The striker, who recently became Chivas’ all-time top scorer, shared his thoughts about the new era under coach Matias Almeyda, and how his knowledge and tactics could come in handy to win the game.

“We have outperformed our opponents since Matías took over, and maybe we struggle at times to keep up with the game’s pace, but these are the type of games that you end up winning with a little bit of guts thrown into the mix, and we will try to be better than them just like we out classed our two most recent opponents,” Bravo added.

Bravo will try to end his scoring drought facing América, since he hasn’t been able to score against Las Aguilas since October 2007.
