Finally, Peter Crouch’s moment has arrived. The Tottenham striker who was accused of cheating on Abbey Clancy – then pregnant – is now expecting a baby of his own.
The father-to-be last month had to face allegations claiming that he betrayed his fiance Abigail with a 19-year-old Algerian prostitute Monika Mint. A breaking news therefore took the headlines afterward, reporting that TV star Abbey had taken off her engagement ring as a result of Crouch’s infidelity.

Regardless, it appears that Clancy has consequently forgiven the Premier League icon; and the couple is now awaiting a baby. Abbey apparently underwent a 12-week scan under the care of a private clinic in London, which confirmed the arrival of the child.

According to Telegraph, Miss Clancy – who became pregnant in July – was openly conversing about her wonderful experience with celebrity hairdresser James Brown during an exceptional lunch at a branch of Italian chain Strada. Surely, she saw no reason why she would have to hide such good news.

"I'm having a baby. I just had my 12-week scan!" she told a nearby diner who spotted her.

There are already predictions over the baby’s exceeding height at birth, by reason of his parents’ remarkable legs. Superstar Peter Crouch, who scored in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Bremen, told the English press that Abbey had informed him about the matter in July after the first indications. He however explained that the reason why the pregnancy was kept away from the public was to maintain the privacy for a while, so as to keep everything well-timed.

"Abbey told me on July 25 (that she was pregnant of my baby). But we agreed to keep it private until she was ready to announce it," the £60,000-a-week player was quoted saying by The Mirror.

Well, it looks like Crouch and Miss Clancy's good news has been revealed at the right time indeed, with followers of the story impatiently waiting on further reports. Once born, the baby is anticipated to be raised in the couple’s £3million mansion in Weybridge, Surrey.
