Apparently, returning to AC Milan is what Mario Balotelli needed to prove he is a top class player. The Italian striker scored a stunning free kick for the Rossoneri, just four minutes after the game had started. Balotelli took the ball and placed it into the top right hand corner of Orestis Karnezis' net. Sinisa Mihajlovic's side was able to score two more goals prior to the end of the first half, courtesy of Bonaventura and Cristian Zapata.
Balotelli was deeply involved in the game's actions, and even got a yellow card ten minutes after he scored the first goal of the evening.
