They could have added one more goal if Hazard had not missed a penalty kick. Chelsea had only won one of the first five games in the EPL.

Jose Mourinho was finally able to smile again after his team ended up with a 4-0 win over Macabbi Tel Aviv in their first game of the 2015-2016 UEFA Champions League season. The current title holders of the Premier League have been struggling during the beginning of this season, so today's threee points were a good sign.

Chelsea made six changes to the lineup that they had used in their most recent game against Everton. While today's team may have not been as strong as Everton, what was recorded by the end of the match in the scoreboeard left Mourinho really pleased.

"I forgot the feeling [of winning]," Mourinho said. "After not winning in so long it felt good."

The Portuguese boss had the chance to relax, sit back and enjoy his team run over the Israeli side. Before the first 45 minutes were over, Chelsea was already up 2-0 with goals from Willian and Oscar. The first one would leave the pitch with an injury right after he scored in the 15th minute.

Things could have been a bit better by then for Chelsea but Eden Hazard missed a penalty kick early on. For some, Macabbi's goalkeeper could have been sent out, but for the referee, a yellow card was more than enough. Hazard would send his shot over the crossbar.

Mou did not find any reasons to get mad at Hazard

"Missing the penalty was a good thing to test the team. We must be really strong to believe and the players have played very well," the Special One claimed.

The bad news after the first half was that Willian's injury will have him sidelined for the next Premier League game. The good news in the second half was that Diego Costa scored his first Champions League goal with Chelsea. He was followed by Cesc Fabregas who would score the fourth and final goal for the Blues.

WATCH: Mourinho takes a scientific approach to this result

"Chelsea fans can think 'We won four PLs - three with him & one with his team so this guy is not bad’," Mourinho said after the game refering to the love he gets from Chelsea fans.

It was not a week for English clubs in the UCL. Manchester City lost 2-1 against Juventus at home and Arsenal lost on the road to Dinamo Zagreb 2-1. At the same time Manchester United fell short to PSV Eindhoven 2-1.

"I want Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal to lose in the Premier League. I don't want them to lose in the Champions League so it's not good for us," Mourinho added.
