The Catalan used a similar uniform in the 2008-2009 season. The club confirmed that they will wear it for the game against Roma.

The reigning Champions League kings will have one thing to brag about when they jump into the field and that is not necessarily their title. The Catalan side announced that they will be wearing a new uniform for this match and even posted a picture of it on their Twitter account.

Barcelona wore a similar kit in the 2008-2009 season. Back then, the team of Josep Guardiola ended up winning the Champions League title against Manchester United 2-0. The game in which they won it was actually played in the same stadium, "Stadio Olimpico di Roma".

The new uniform is mostly blue with a black trim which is visible on both sides

Six years after that final, Barcelona heads back to the eternal city to start defending the title they just got against Juventus last UCL season. They now have a total of five, and while Real Madrid is five UCL titles ahead of them, there is not team with more Champions League titles than Barcelona in the past decade (3).

In this 2015-2016 Champions League season, Barcelona will be playing Bayer Leverkusen,  BATE and Roma in the group stage. They have started La Liga with three straight wins, so winning in the "Eternal City" can be a great way to stay motivated for the upcoming season.
