The Real Madrid superstar is yet to register an official goal this season, failing to score in his last six games for club and country.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, known to many as the world’s deadliest goalscoring machine.

Rarely does the Portuguese superstar go for weeks without finding the back of the net, but when he does, the whole world stops and takes notice.

That goes for the three-time Ballon d’Or winner's current goal drought, which has seen him fail to sore in his last six games, for both club and country, and is without an official goal this season.

Ronaldo last found himself on the score sheet in an official game when Los Blancos clashed with English side Manchester City in the 2015 International Champions Cup, scoring in the 25th minute in the 4-1 win.

Since then, however, he has not found the back of the net, meaning he has gone without scoring for more than 500 minutes of action, with the former Man United man drawing blanks since the July 24th victory.

Cristiano has been pulling out all the stops to score, however. In the span of those 6 games, the Portuguese attacker has made a total of 28 shots, with 18 being on target.

This is a sharp dip in form, though, from a player who scored a total of 60 goals last term for Les Merengues in all competitions, 48 in La Liga, 10 in the Champions League, and 2 in the UEFA Super Cup.

Ronaldo has been prolific for the majority of 2015, though

What could possibly be the cause of this latest drought? When Ronaldo last experienced a dry spell at the beginning of 2015, fans blamed it on his break-up with long time girlfriend Irina Shayk, citing the emotional downside of a terrible split as the sole reason behind his shortcomings on the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Irina Shayk, 2014 Ballon d'OrHowever, Cristiano appears to have moved on from his failed relationship, with the Real Madrid ace’s social media activity since the break-up hinting that the 30-year-old has shifted his sole focus to his son, becoming a family man.

Or could this merely be a PR gimmick intended on portraying Ronaldo as more relaxed, with a new found sense of accomplishment, having moved on from his public break-up, despite screams from the haters?
