Gerard Piqué was one of the best men for Barcelona in the second leg of the Super Cup until his emotions got the worst of him and the referee decided to send him off for insulting one of his colleagues. Ten minutes into the second half, Pique left the pitch and his team with only ten men, while they were already winning 1-0.

Some claim that Pique used some highly offensive language while trying to vent his frustration straight into the face of the assistant.

While Pique claimed that was not true, he did use his Twitter account to issue an apology for what happened in a game where Barcelona was hoping to come back from a 0-4 deficit after the first leg. The Spanish defender will now have to serve a four-game ban from

Pique suspended for four games? This season is starting off with a slap to the face. But the team can push through this period I'm sure

Four match ban for Piqué for saying something he didn't. But last season, a certain player got a 2 match ban for kicking + punching a player
