Despite not having the best of summers, Lionel Messi keeps getting praised by his off-the-pitch stats. Earlier today, the Argentinean player surpassed the 20 million follower barrier on Instagram, as he keeps getting closer to other athletes that use this app to communicate with fans. Nevertheless, Messi is still far from becoming La Liga's most followed player. That privilege belongs to Neymar, who has 27.5 million followers. And just in case you were wondering about Cristiano Ronaldo's numbers, the Portuguese footballer ranks second, with 23.6 million fans following his actions on Instagram.
