The Ivory Coast striker revealed that he received many calls to join other English teams minutes after revealing he would not be returning with the Blues.

Didier Drogba will be forever loyal to Chelsea's jersey. The legendary African striker just revealed in an interview he will not be joining any other Premier League side after his contract with Chelsea expired, despite being tempted by other clubs. Drogba, who was voted by the team's fans as the best player to wear the Blue jersey, set the record straight about what's going to happen with his career.

"There are some really fantastic teams in the Premier League but my love for this club. I can't share it with another English team. Since I put the news I am leaving Chelsea on social media, I was in the dressing-room and I was receiving some calls from teams which is really unusual," Drogba stated

Drogba won his fourth Premier League title with the Blues, scoring four goals this season.

Denying to reveal the names of the clubs that wanted to sit down and talk to him, the 37-year old striker feels he still has some fuel left in his tank, and he might be following the footsteps of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in the near future.

"It showed that maybe I can still bring something to a team. Of course I'm interested in the USA. Now I'm going to have a few days and weeks to think about what is good for me next but all I want is to play," Drogba added.
