The German side has already lost it's chance to win the treble and has already secured the Bundesliga title. Barcelona still hasn't clinched any of the three titles its going after.

A few days ago Bayern Munich was still thinking on winning the treble, but that quickly changed when Borussia Dortmund knocked them out of the DBF Pokal. Now, with the Bundesliga title already in their pocket, they must go all in for the win in their upcoming Champions League matchup against Barcelona.

Josep Guardiola and his team must try and figure out what has caused them to lose two games in a row, including a 2-0 loss against Bayern Leverkusen after playing with Dortmund. The Bavarian team is not looking good ahead of a very important game against one of the best, if not the best team in Europe and the world.

Bayern must switch gears quickly ahead of their next game

Their upcoming opponent has won its last six games (including UCL), and outscored their opponents 16-0 in the last three games combined. They are currently trying to hold Real Madrid back for the remainder of the season plus still aim to win the Champions League and the Spanish Cup later this month.

Luis Enrique knows how important all three competitions are for his team. He wants to capitalize on a great season with all three championships but must be able to rotate his players if he wants to win it all. The Spanish side has six games scheduled this month and all of them are important to keep their hopes of a treble alive.

One of Barcelona's lucky charms

But Guardiola only cares about one more trophy, "La Orejona". Pep wants to take his new team to where he took Barcelona in 2009 and 2011 against Manchester United. The same place that belonged to Bayern in 2013, the season before Guardiola became the manager of the German side.

In this UCL edition, Bayern has not been playing very well in the first leg of the final stages. They tied 0-0 with Shakhtar Donetsk and lost 3-1 against Porto. It seems to be a game in which Pep analyzes his opponent. Then, in the second leg, the German side has outscored their opponents 13-1.

If there is one man that knows the secrets behind Barcelona's success it is Pep. He won it all with Los Cules in four years with the Catalan side. He left because he wanted a bigger challenge and life has directed him to face the beast he created. He is not expected to show any mercy against his former team knowing what's at stake.

Advantage Neuer

Bayern's biggest weakness is their injury list that includes nine players like Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. They just need to worry about giving it their best in the Champions League. Having lost against Dortmund could fuel their fire to be as destructive as they can be when they are at their best. Guardiola and his team have nothing to lose in their road to Berlin, just a beast to tame.
