The French striker has a problem with his knee. He did not play the whole game against Atletico midweek.

Malaga won't have to worry about Real Madrid's number nine, Karim Benzema, as the Frenchman has been ruled out for this Saturday's game at the Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti confirmed what had been a rumour after Benzema had to leave practice early on Friday due to a problem with his knee.

The French player left the game against Atletico halfway through the second half and it was Isco who came in for him. Bale, who was also rumoured to miss Saturday's game, is expected to be in the starting lineup for Madrid after being able to have a regular practice on Friday.

Benzema has a good record against Madrid's next opponent

"Benzema is not available, but we will have him back for the next game," Ancelotti said, meaning the second leg against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

His place will most likely be taken by the same man who came into Tuesday's game for him. Isco, hasn't seen as much action after Luka Modric and James Rodriguez came back to the lineup.

"Isco is fresh, he is fine, like the rest of us. I believe he's happy as has played more games than last season. I can use hin in any moment."

For Carletto, all the games that Madrid has scheduled until the end of the season are important. While they want to repeat as Champions League winners, they also want to catch up to Barcelona who is two points ahead in La Liga standings.

"In this moment there are no most important games, they are all important, as we are battling for the two most important trophies of the season," Ancelotti claimed. "We will put out the best possible team to try and win this game."

Their upcoming rival is in seventh place and has lost their last three games away from home. Before that, they were able to beat Barcelona 1-0 on the road on February 21. In their most recent game, they tied 2-2 with Atletico Madrid at home.
