With most games played on Saturday evening, the Mexican Clausura 2015 tournament made fans celebrate 31 goals, the highest amount for a single week.

Week 12 of the Mexican Clausura 2015 tournament delivered one of the most exciting and controversial weekends for fans throughout the country. While there were games with a huge amount of goals scored in them, such as Queretaro's victory over León with a 5-4 score, other matches like America - Cruz Azul and Atlas -Chivas had fans on the edge of their seats, being decided in the final seconds of each game. Here's our Liga MX roundup for Week 12.

America beats Cruz Azul giving coach Matosas some room to breathe

Las Aguilas were lucky not to concede one or two goals during the first half of the game, and Cruz Azul was not able to defend two of America's most important men in the action that decided the match. Striker Oribe Peralta took advantage of a great cross by Rubens Sambueza to score the lonely goal of the game, and provided coach Gustavo Matosas a little credibility after a complicated week following their 4-0 loss to Veracruz. Matosas has won his two Clasicos while coaching America, and even if fans are still expecting his team to play better, he is getting results against the opponents that matter the most.

Arango "makes a Suarez" against Monterrey

During the match between Tijuana and Monterrey, which gave Los Rayados their first three points while playing away from Estadio Tecnológico, Venezuelan midfielder Juan Arango took a bite off Jesus Zavala's shoulder, getting no punishment whatsoever. The former Borussia Moenchengladbach and Mallorca player apologized to Zavala, but his actions may end up landing him a six-game ban. His "victim" showed the effects of Arango's teeth on his shoulder through his Instagram account one day after his side defeated the current Liga MX leaders with a 4-3 result.

Arango stated he is aware of his actions, and Liga MX officers are still working on what the punishment the Venezuelan will be handed.

Chivas prevails against Atlas after Arturo Gonzalez's massive penalty flop

"El Clásico Tapatío" was, without a doubt, one of the best games this season in the Mexican tournament. With big chances to score for both sides, Guadalajara took the lead thanks to Omar Bravo's tap-in, which was later cancelled by Luis Caballero's header before the first half ended. During the final seconds of the game, Los Rojinegros were awarded a penalty kick, and when everyone thought Atlas would end with all the points, Gonzalez tried to trick Luis Michel with a Panenka-style shot, making a fool out of himself after the keeper's reaction.
