Los Blancos will benefit from the return of Luka Modric, whose injury forced Ancelotti to change his squad, creating chaos on the pitch. While a win over the current leaders would make them take once again La Liga's first place, a loss could put Ancelotti's job in serious jeopardy, even though the team's president Florentino Perez defended him a few days ago.
With Modric back in midfield duties, the famous BBC attack will be crucial in the game's outcome. Particularly, Cristiano Ronaldo will try to show his class on the pitch, since he was seen insulting Santiago Bernabeu's attendance last week after a poor performance. German Toni Kroos and Sergio Ramos will also be quite useful for Los Blancos in set pieces, one of the team's most useful weapons against well-placed defenses like Barcelona's.
