Paul Pogba was starting to shine as bright as ever, but it all went downhill when he had to leave the game against Dortmund in the Champions League Round of 16. News has just gotten worst, on the medical staff confirmed the midfielder will be out for 50 days.
"Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the initial suspicion of a second-degree injury to Pogba's right hamstring," was what the statement by the medical staff read.
His recovery leaves him sidelined for the entire quarter-finals round in the UEFA Champions League and for most of the remaining Serie A League schedule. He would also miss the first round of the semi-final in case the Old Lady makes it that far.
Pogba had to walk out of the game in the first half
The injury has not only affected his participation with the Italian club, but also with his national team. The French manager, Didier Deschamps announced that Pogba would have to miss the upcoming games with Les Blues.
"He is out because of his injury yesterday," Deschamps said on Thursday when he knew about Pogba's condition.
Managing to hold the lead in the domestic league seems like an easy task for Juventus. They are 14 points clear of the second-place (Roma) with nine games to go. Pogba could make a comeback in the last three games against Inter Milan, Napoli and Verona.
Pogba had played 34 games (all competitions included) so far this season. He had scored nine goals and had six assists under his belt in all those matches. The 22-year-old, who recently rejected interest of playing with Real Madrid, had been vital
