The Brazilian-born striker bashed Aaron Cresswell with his right arm during the Blues' Wednesday against the Hammers. Mourinho's men won 1-0.

Spanish striker Diego Costa is quickly building a reputation as the new brawler in the English Premier League. During their match against West Ham, Chelsea's Number 19 got into a number of arguments with Hammers' defenders, including Aaron Cresswell and Carl Jenkinson. While the struggle with the latter seemed to be more like a normal battle to gain control of the ball, Cresswell's incident was more proper of a boxing match, with the Brazilian-born striker hitting West Ham's Number 3 with his right arm.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce referred to the incident, adding that he had ordered his players to avoid that sort of contact with Costa. "He's an old-fashioned type of centre-forward because he seems to like getting motivated on the physical and niggle aspect of it all," Big Sam stated about Costa.

This was not Diego Costa's first incident with the Blues this year. During the first semester of the season, Costa got into an argument with Manchester City's Pablo Zabaleta, which ended with the Argentinian player being sent-off.

Zabaleta complains about a harsh tackle by Costa, who is not happy with the defender's hand on the back of his head.

When he got up, Costa "gently" pushed Zabaleta away, and the referee surprisingly decided to send the Argentinian off the pitch.

Last month, the former Atletico Madrid striker was handed a three match ban after stamping on Martin Skrtel and Emre Can during the Capital One Cup semifinals against Liverpool.

Costa's left foot "accidentally" finds Skrtel's leg during the semifinal match between the Blues & the Reds.

And even with Jose Mourinho defending his player's intensity, it seems Costa takes that concept way out of proportion.
