The German star had to make an early exit in his team's match vs Dynamo Dresden, causing a lot of concern for Dortmund fans.

Just as Dortmund fans thought things were looking up for the team and star player Marco Reus, they have been dealt yet another set-back.

The 25-year-old, who has been in great form for die Schwarzgelben had netted five goals in his last five appearances for his side as they have been slowly working their way up the table.

At one point, Jurgen Klopp's men had found themselves dead last in the Bundesliga standings and have now clawed their way up to tenth place, with their 28 points seeing them eight behind fourth-placed Bayer Leverkusen who occupies the last Champions League spot.

Earlier today, they faced off against Dynamo Dresden in the DFB Pokal, which they won 2-0 courtesy of a double from Ciro Immobile. However, the win came at a price as Reus was forced off with a leg problem, meaning that his injury woes are unfortunately far from over.

Concern: Dortmund's medics tend to Reus, who has struggled for fitness throughout the season

The German star had to make an early exit after suffering an injury following a tackle

His coach attempted to downplay the seriousness of his star man's injury, stating, "I was told it may just be a knock on the leg. But I don't know if he will be fit for the league at the weekend."

This latest setback follows after he tore ligaments in his ankle back in November 2014, keeping him out of action for two months, and Reus unfortunately had to miss out on the World Cup due to another ankle problem.
