The Blaugrana could face sanctions due to some of their fans' behaviour in the win over Levante this past weekend.

This past Sunday, Barcelona racked up their 11th consecutive win by cruising to an easy 3 points against Levante.

Lionel Messi was again the star of the show, with the Argentine ace picking up his 23rd La Liga hat-trick. In doing so, the 27-year-old has now matched rival Cristiano Ronaldo's haul of 23, thus setting up an interesting battle to see which one of the duo reaches 24 and beyond.

Luis Suarez also scored the best goal of the weekend--and perhaps of the season in Spain--to cap off a magical night for Blaugrana supporters, whilst Neymar continued his good run of form by grabbing himself a goal early in the first half to kick things off for Luis Enrique's men.

However, despite all the cheer and excitement for Barcelona fans as their team has now closed the gap on Real Madrid to just one point, there were some not-so-savory aspects on that evening.

Much to the dismay of his legions of followers, Cristiano Ronaldo has hit a rough patch recently and has not been up to his highly esteemed standards as of late. The Portuguese star was slated by some sections of his club's fanbase for celebrating his birthday after they were humiliated 4-0 by Atletico Madrid in the city's derby, and it now appears that some have not been willing to let it go.

It has not been the best past few weeks for this year's Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo

According to reports, sections of supporters at the Camp Nou engaged in some offensive behavior towards the three-time Ballon d'Or winner, despite him not even being on the pitch at the time.

Making reference to his birthday party, La Liga officials noted that some Blaugrana fans in attendance sang songs describing CR7 as "a drunk" and will decide promptly whether to take any kind of action.

Back in December, it was Real Madrid fans who decided to show their foul side, by chanting "Messi is a retard". Despite La Liga officials not taking any action, the club apparently expelled the 17 or so supporters who were the ringleaders.

So, given that no official action was taken against Real Madrid by the league, it will be interesting to see the outcome regarding Barcelona, with a verdict reported to arrive on Tuesday, and how and if the club themselves decide to do anything regarding some small sections of their fanbase.
