Brace yourselves for a weekend of derbies in Europe’s top leagues and a gigantic final at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. In this week’s top matches to watch, there is the Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal fixture which promises to have a big impact on both side’s EPL Top Four race. Only two points separate the two.

Fifth-placed Arsenal gunned down Aston Villa 5-0 in a game that saw Santi Cazorla and Mesut Özil shine in Alexis Sanchez’s absence. Spurs also demolished West Bromwich Albion 3-0 last weekend. It’s all looking good ahead of Saturday’s North London Derby! Will it rain goals at White Hart Lane?

Still in the English Premier League and Steven Gerrard will be featuring in his last Merseyside Derby. The Liverpool captain will confront Everton for the last time in a red shirt before joining the MLS with L.A. Galaxy at the end of the season.

In Italy, Juventus are the team to beat. Who can catch them at the top of the Serie A standings? They possess half a century of points and a seven-point gap over their closest rivals, AS Roma. Third-placed Napoli are far behind with 39 points only. This Saturday, however, they will face AC Milan. The latter clinched a vital win at home to Parma on Matchday 20.

Victory away to La Vecchia is a must if Milan want to keep their European football hopes alive. Ahead of the game, they seat in eighth position – 10 points off the UEFA Champions League zone and five points behind both Lazio and Sampdoria who are in contention to qualify for next season’s UEFA Europa League competition.

Torres will try to embarrass Los Blancos one more time while his former team, AC Milan, will be looking to defeat Juventus. Meanwhile, Ronaldo will make his return from suspension.

Elsewhere in Spain, Real Madrid’s strengths will be tested by reigning league champions Atletico Madrid. Los Blancos are looking to maintain or increase their four-point gap at the top of La Liga whereas second-placed FC Barcelona are waiting for their rivals to slip. Speaking about the Catalans, they will host Villarreal in the first leg of their 2014/15 Copa del Rey semi-final tie.

Before this thrilling Spanish Cup clash scheduled to take place on February 11, there are two amazing rivalry battles which you cannot miss: the first of those will take place in Equatorial Guinea as West African foes Ivory Coast and Ghana will lock horns to determine who wins the Africa Cup of Nations crown. The AFCON 2015 final comes on this Sunday at 14:00 ET / 19:00 GMT.

Shortly after at 15:00 ET / 20:00 GMT, the second huge rivalry clash of the week will kick-off in Portugal as Sporting CP will welcome Benfica. This Lisbon derby will offer the hosts (42) an excellent opportunity to fuel their Primeira Liga title hopes. The Eagles (49), meanwhile, are determined to protect their six-point gap above second-placed FC Porto en route to yet another league trophy.
