The 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or award ceremony is less than two weeks away and while Lionel Messi supporters hope that their player will be crowned, a video to remind them just how talented La Pulga is has surfaced on the internet.
Professional footballers are not necessarily great freestylers but in Messi’s case, he is both. The Argentine captain is known for his excellent dribbles, passes and goals but on a Japanese game show, he was meant to try something different.
The rule of the game was simple: kick a ball over an 18-meter bar and run to the other side of the bar to control the ball. Easier said than done but Leo successfully did that without letting the ball hit the ground once.

Meanwhile, this viral video is not the only reason why Lionel Messi has been in the headlines recently for off-the-pitch news. On New Year’s Eve, the father of Thiago revealed a new tattoo on his golden left leg, via the Instagram account of his partner Antonella Roccuzzo.
