Who will win the first ever annual diving prize, hilariously named the Fallon d'Floor award as a parody of the FIFA Ballon d'Or award which recognizes the best football player on the planet?

Cristiano Ronaldo has scooped numerous awards in his career and he might very well land his third Ballon d’Or come January 2015. However, there is one thing he may not want to add to his trophy cabinet: a prize to recognize his talent as a diver.

The Real Madrid number 7 attacker is part of the six nominees vying for world football's first ever annual Fallon d'Floor award. The voting rule on Fallondfloor.com is simple: one vote per household every week.

We offer you a compilation of the year’s six best dives which include Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez and Dutch talisman Arjen Robben. Click on the images to view gifs of each dive.

The Portuguese’s feet are on fire. His goalscoring abilities cannot be questioned. Somehow, he preferred to rely on his diving antics to open the scoring against Celta Vigo after 35 minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos ended up winning 3-0 with CR7 completing a record-breaking hat-trick.

Hungry lad Suarez just couldn’t resist having a bite of Giorgio Chiellini’s shoulder. The next thing that happened was arguably more surprising as he fell to the ground and pretended having something like a toothache. Was Chiellini’s shoulder made of steel?

Arjen Robben vs Mexico

Match: Netherlands vs Mexico
When: 2014-06-29
Competition: World Cup

Mexicans will never forgive Dutch star Robben for this “fall on the floor”. The Bayern Munich man went to the ground perhaps too easily. While fans of the Netherlands saw this as a clever move, supporters of El Tri erupted in anger. Robben looks to be Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez’s biggest challenger for the award, based on the importance of that dive which ousted Mexico from the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
