Despite being a key part of Manchester City's squad, midfielder Yaya Toure has not ruled out a departure.
The Ivorian star enjoyed a good run of form last season as City won their second Premier League title in the past few years, but this summer, his agent expressed that his client was unhappy at the club.
The whole issue, dubbed "Cakegate" by some sections of the media revolved around the player not apparently receiving a cake for his birthday, but the matter was soon quickly resolved and it appeared all parties has moved on.
However, in a recent interview, Toure did not pledge his future to the English side and is still open to the idea to play for Ligue 1 champions PSG. Les Parisiens were linked with a move for him this summer, but nothing came to fruition.
"The most important thing is to continue my job, [but] you do not know what might happen tomorrow," he stated in an interview with RMC regarding Laurent Blanc's side.
"It's always an objective to play at big clubs and win trophies. The most important thing is to continue to learn. You never close the door to a big club."
This season has seen his performance levels drop as City struggle to keep pace with runaway leaders Chelsea, but he has offered an explanation:
"When we look at all the players of the squad, almost everyone have been played the World Cup, so physically, it leaves traces."
