The feud between the Premier League champions and the Russians apparently reached a whole new level last month.

Manchester City fans will remember last season when their team headed to Russia to take on CSKA Moscow. While Manuel Pellegrini's men were able to depart that nation's capital with all three points, the mood was soured somewhat due to racial abuse of star midfielder Yaya Toure.

As a result of that and other infractions, the Russian outfit waere forced to play their European games this season behind closed doors, but that didn't stop them from letting in fans for their most recent re-match with the Premier League champions.

This time around, the game finished as a 2-2 stalemate under rather controversial circumstances but the spat between the two sides has now reached a whole new level of pettiness. According to reports, the Russians, who were so angry with City's complaints, decided not to provide food for their opponents, despite it being tradition for the host team to take care of post-match meals.

While the squad were "enraged" by the show of bad manners, they will be keen on exacting revenge against the Russian outfit. However, it won't obviously be by refusing to provide them with a post-match meal, but, given that City beat them 5-2 last season at home, the team and their supporters would like to see a repeat win as they hope to book themselves a ticket to the round of 16.
